We all know that expressing our appreciation, congratulations, condolences or just thinking of you sentiments are vital to human connection but as with many things in our busy lives, these thoughts get lost in the mind maze of everyone’s day and many times are never shared.
We need to remember that conveying a few simple words in a beautiful hand-crafted card could end up being the brightest moment for someone on any given day. What people remember most about you is how you make them feel. If you can make others feel valued, important, special, even loved, then you have made an invaluable impression.
I’ve been a crafter my whole life. When I was a teen, a time when most kids are holding grudges against their parents, I spent 3 weekends hand-weaving baskets to gift to family. Making and, more importantly, giving something special is part of what I’ve always done.
But we can't stay teenagers forever, and in real life we have careers that eat away at our free time. I spent 20 years working for a large company, moving between less than exciting IT roles and eventually managing e-commerce sites, where I started to see customer service from behind the scenes.
I started to notice that taking care of people and doing the right thing no longer comes naturally to most people. I couldn't understand why it wasn't natural for people to pick up the phone and follow-up with the customer when there were problems. Why did the customer have to call back multiple times to find out about their order? Why didn't people just naturally follow the entire process to make sure our products and services were delivered as promised? How had customers become just another number in the call log?
We've all become so busy and we only seem to care about things on a surface level. While technology connects us easily, it's just not as meaningful or lasting as it should be. In February of 2016 I decided it was time to figure out how to make sure that TRUE relationship building isn't lost. I began to work on bringing a solution to life and in January 2017 I left corporate world to focus on this effort.
I want to make it easy for people to be able to connect on a personal level again. I want to offer tools to give something that will be remembered. You aren't going to remember the text I sent you 3 months ago, but you'll remember the same message if I wrote it in a card.
The Cardcierge will make it easy to connect with your customers in a way that will differentiate you. We want to create a customer experience that will get your clients sharing just how much you care.
